About Us

Centre For Agrarian Research Training & Education (Carte) is a nonprofit making organisation registered under societies Registration Act 1860. It was founded by Sri Amar Nath Seth, a retired senior executive of FAO by donating a major portion of his life’s savings to build up a great institution devoted to the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden sections of our country.

CARTE has been nurtured to its present status by distinguished administrators, professionals, philanthropists, academicians and patriots like Sri R.K Patil, Former Member Planning Commission GOI. Sri B.B Lal ICS (Retd.) Former Chief Secretary UP and Ex-Governor of Sikkim, Dr. R.N Azad IAS (Retd.), Sri B.B.L Bharadwaj ICS (Retd.) About Carte

Currently, CARTE is run by a Governing Council comprised of leading industrialists, engineers, doctors, academicians, chartered accountants and reputed professionals. It is headed by a Chairman assisted by Vice-Chairman, Member Secretary and Members. Its area of work includes running of an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) having five trades –Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Fitter, Computer Operator & Programming Assistant (COPA) and Cutting & Sewing Technology; a medical centre consisting of allopathic consultancy, homeopathy consultancy, dental care, opthomology, physiotherapy and pathology and a primary school from kinder garden level to 5th class for poor downtrodden sections of the society.

All the above facilities are housed in a complex having good infrastructure with basic and necessary amenities for quality teaching, all round development of trainees & children.

About Carte Industrial Training Institute (ITI)

CARTE Is running an ITI recognised by NCVT, central Government. It imparts training in five trades viz. Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Computer operator and Programming Assistant and Sewing Technology. Laboratories/workshop are fully equipped with latest machines, tools, instruments and others necessary ingradients in each trade for skill development and specialized training. Single needle lock stich machines, double needle machines, four thread over lock machine with UBT function are used for sophisticated.Industrial training in sewing technology. Faculty includes well qualified experienced & competent teachers/instructors including some engg. graduates. Emphasis is on quality education, training and skill development Besides, a collaboration with local industrial houses exists for specialized training in identified areas.

Carte was founded in 1976 by a great man Shri Amar Nath Seth whose life was devoted to social work. He laid a strong foundation of CARTE, hand-picked its Members who were inspired by spirit of service none of whom belonged to his family. He worked for a number of social service organization’s and in the FAO for many years. He donated a major portion of his life’s saving to build up a great institution devoted to the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden of our country.

About Medical Centre

We are running free medical service in which very senior specialists of different fields are providing their service free of cost. Services provided by CARTE include Allopathic consultancy (General Physician, Gyanecology, Pediatric, ENT, Dental and Optical) Homeopathy consultancy, Physiotherapy and Pathology. CARTE provides free Allopathic and Homoeopathic medicines to deserving patients. Facility is also provided to the medical department of U.P Government for their immunization program and health care for women. This program attracts a large number of persons every week.

About Primary School

A primary school from kindergarden level to fifth class is being run for poor children of slum areas. The medium of instruction is Hindi. The students are picked up by lady volunteers from slum areas and they are provided books, bags and uniform free of cost. The tution fee of students is very nominal and even free for very poor deserving students.
